The Scanning Droid is a Tools gadget made by Wolfboy231.
Appearance[]
It is a black spider-like shape with four legs, and a black head with a red visor. (Though not seen on the prototype image above)
Once thrown, it attaches itself to a floor or wall of some sort, and scans a 7 Meter Radius (8 When Upgraded), for 3 Seconds. Then returns to the player and reveals your enemies.
Strategy[]
Tips[]
- Use this in maps that have many walls, or very large maps.
- Be sure to carry a decent weapon in case enemies catch you while the droid scans the area.
- Once the enemies are scanned, they have a red outline. Use this to sneak attack them.
Counters[]
- If you see one on the wall or ground, run as far as possible from it.
- If you get scanned, get away from the enemy.
Trivia[]
- In Campaign, there is an exclusive Spider Droid to a member of one of the survivors, it has a grey body, legs, and head. The visor is blue, but turns purple when scanning.
- If the droid is thrown too close to the player, it will pop up, and run towards the nearest wall. This can be both advantagous and disadvantagous.
